Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect
We collect account information such as your name, email address, password hash, email verification status, subscription status, chat messages, generated replies, conversation summaries, saved conversation notes, uploaded file metadata and files when you use file features, usage logs, and basic technical logs needed to operate the service.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information that is not needed for the chat, such as government identifiers, payment card numbers, passwords, medical records, financial account details, or private information about other people.
2. Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. Abigail stores Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, and webhook identifiers, but does not store full payment card details.
3. Conversation processing
To generate replies, selected parts of your conversation, summaries, conversation notes, and file details may be processed by secure infrastructure used to operate Abigail. We send only the context needed to provide the conversation, handle safety checks, and keep continuity.
We use third-party service providers for payments, hosting, email delivery, logging, monitoring, and AI processing. These providers may process data only as needed to provide their services to Abigail and are subject to their own security and privacy terms.
4. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, verify email addresses, process subscriptions, provide chat responses, preserve conversation continuity, handle uploaded files, protect the service from abuse, investigate flagged activity, improve reliability, provide account support, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Retention and deletion
Conversation data and saved notes are retained while your account exists unless deleted by an account or admin action. Backups may retain deleted data for a limited period until backup rotation removes it.
Uploaded files are retained while the related account and conversation data exist, unless deleted earlier by account action, admin action, storage cleanup, or legal/safety requirements.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical safeguards such as password hashing, email verification, private database access, signed Stripe webhooks, private file downloads, restricted configuration secrets, backups, and monitoring. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your choices
You may update your profile, manage billing through Stripe, cancel your subscription, or request deletion/export where supported by the application and applicable law.
If you delete your account, active access ends and account-related chat data is removed from the live application, subject to backup retention, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal obligations, and security records.
